So many of us are grieving and in deep mourning for the world and ourselves.  Many of us have been conditioned to avoid and deny our pain and to see it as dangerous. If we are struggling within systems of oppression, we may experience forms of intense pain in the form of various identity based traumas. To transform our relationship to this pain we must begin cultivating an open heart and leading with that openness. But how do we began to rely on our broken hearts as a profound means of both personal and social liberation? How does our pain become the teacher? How can it become the path? Most importantly, how does this path of the open heart become a strategy for social liberation as well?
