First Annual Southern Dharma Community Picnic

Spend the day with your friends and loved ones at Southern Dharma Retreat Center

Ever wish you could come out to the retreat center with family and friends? Longing for a day of quiet respite in nature among Dharma friends? Hoping for a chance to introduce your kids (and friendly leashed pets!) to a treasured space for spiritual peace and refuge where they can play and explore? Never been to the retreat center but would love an opportunity to check it out without enrolling in a program?

Join us on Sunday, August 18th for fellowship, food, and relaxed practice with our larger community. Southern Dharma will provide a lunch buffet (vegan with vegetarian options) or you can bring your own items to enjoy. The day’s schedule will include optional opportunities to meet the staff, take part in group practice, and/or take a tour of the grounds to learn about the history of Southern Dharma. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, musical instruments, and games.

Guests are welcome on the property anytime between 10am and 7pm. We encourage guests to carpool to the site as on-site parking will be limited. Golf cart shuttles from our lower property on the paved section of West Rd will be available as needed or upon request.

Anyone aged 18 or over must be registered individually. Up to two children under 18 and one well-behaved leashed pet may accompany each adult. Please note that we cannot allow any pets to enter any of the facilities at any time.

This is a dana-based program with no set fee for participation. Your contributions to supporting the Center are voluntary and deeply appreciated!
